Turns out PizÂza Hut is good for someÂthing…
They’ve teamed up with the printÂed elecÂtronÂics comÂpaÂny Novalia to turn cardÂboard pizÂza boxÂes into playable turntaÂbles. SpeÂcialÂizÂing in techÂnolÂoÂgy that adds touch and conÂnecÂtivÂiÂty to everyÂday surÂfaces, Novalia has creÂatÂed two scratchÂable decks, each with conÂtrols that let you fine-tune the volÂume, pitch, playÂback, and crossÂfadÂing. And it’s all done with the magÂic of conÂducÂtive ink.
AccordÂing to Live for Music, “the batÂtery-powÂered box can be hooked up to a comÂputÂer or phone through BlueÂtooth, then conÂnectÂed to any DJ softÂware like SerÂaÂto or DJ Pro.” Right now, the playable pizÂza box is only availÂable at a few PizÂza Hut locaÂtions in the UK. Above, DJ VecÂtra offers a primer on using the new gadÂget.
