For the 13th time, Chi­nese author­i­ties arrest­ed the well-known Chi­nese writer Liao Yiwu (The Corpse Walk­er) as he board­ed a plane to attend a lit­er­ary fes­ti­val in Cologne, Ger­many.     Maybe, this guy should’ve realised he should left the coun­try long ago…

    The cold war with the USSR had cost the West too much to begin anoth­er one with Chi­na. Besides, apart from inter­nal affairs, Chi­na is being flex­i­ble enough and tries to “play the game” inter­na­tion­al­ly. So, dear friends, I’m afraid Liao Yiwu and his likes haven’t got much hope…
