Harold PinÂter, the Nobel Prize-winÂning playÂwright, died in LonÂdon on WednesÂday. As The New York Times obit menÂtions, when PinÂter won the Nobel in 2005, his declinÂing health preÂventÂed him from attendÂing the awards cerÂeÂmoÂny in StockÂholm. Instead, he gave his accepÂtance lecÂture — “Art, Truth & PolÂiÂtics” — via a recordÂed video, which we’re postÂing below.
